Installable experimental agent runtime

OpenSkynet

An installable experimental agent runtime derived from OpenClaw, but evolving into its own more structured and more “alive” line.

OpenSkynet can be installed on a normal machine and used as an experimental agent runtime. It started from the OpenClaw line, but it now diverges through its own Omega layer, living internal state, executive recovery, policy structure, and a separate Skynet Brain Lab for more radical cognitive substrates.

What it isAn installable experimental agent runtime.
Where it came fromA divergent line built from OpenClaw, not just a renamed copy.
What makes it distinctOmega, living runtime state, executive continuity, and a Brain Lab beyond standard LLM architecture.

Why this is different

Installable on a normal machine

This is not just a paper concept or a hosted demo. OpenSkynet is an agent/runtime project you can clone, install, and run on your own machine.

More than a fork label

OpenSkynet began from the OpenClaw line, but it diverges through its own structure: Omega as internal experimental line, runtime authority, living memory, wake policy, drives, and metabolism.

Brain Lab for stranger ideas

src/skynet is where new substrates, organs, biphasic dynamics, geometric quantization, and future cognitive architectures are explored without forcing them into the runtime too early.

Architecture snapshot

Current structure, kept explicit:

OpenSkynetInstallable runtime, tools, primary agent substrate, continuity, and operational memory.
OmegaRuntime authority, living memory, world model, wake policy, drives, metabolism, and executive recovery.
Skynet Brain LabSeparate line for new cognitive substrates. Discoveries move upward only after empirical validation.

What this lets you inspect:

Operational autonomyHow the agent/runtime behaves as a system.
Internal structureHow Omega organizes memory, policy, and recovery.
Future brainsHow the Brain Lab searches for architectures beyond standard LLMs.
This project is experimental. It optimizes for frontier functionality and architectural exploration, not production-grade safety or enterprise hardening.

What you can inspect now

Start here

If you want to install it

Start with README.md. The repo is public and meant to be cloned and run on your own machine as an experimental agent/runtime.

If you want the runtime spine

Go to src/omega. That is where the internal structure of the agent/runtime is most visible.

If you want the radical path

Go to src/skynet and the Brain Lab experiments if you care about searching for architectures beyond standard LLMs.
